Fused glass pieces like plates, bowls, wine stoppers, light sensor night lights, hanging light catchers, and jewelry pieces.
This tour I am excited to showcase a rarely used process of embedding glass pieces into the main glass body creating an almost 3-D effect. All my pieces are one of a kind, hand crafted designs fused into and onto the glass body. These pieces are dynamic, expressive, and functional. The images are developed by layered coats of finely ground glass fused at 1600F. The designs are often slumped into a mold. This unique process is analogous to the technique of designs applied to bone china. The end product is modified by the extreme heat and thermal transients which it is subjected to in the kiln or by torch.
