ARTIST RULES, REGULATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

This application and art photos must represent current work within the last 2 years ready for sale and which has not been submitted in prior years. More photos will be expected at a later date TBD. Artists will be notified of their show acceptance by September 13, 2024.

Show dates are Saturday/Sunday,November 17-18, 2024

Show times are 10 am-4 pm. Please be ready for guests by 9:45 am and do not close until 4 pm.

You will be either in your own studio or as a guest in another artist’s studio (as indicated on your application). Guest artists (those living outside of Washougal) who are accepted to be a part of the Washougal Studio Artists Tour will show their work at the studio of an artist who lives in Washougal. Please indicate below if you know where you will be a guest artist, or if you need a studio in which to show your work.

If you decide to drop out, please notify us immediately. No refund will be given if payment has been received and notice is not received by November 1, 2023

A map will be created to advertise the artists’ locations, and yard signs will be placed around Washougal by volunteer artists. Each artist studio will be responsible for 4-12 sign placements.

The studio needs to be accessible to the public, with plenty of parking space available.

Please have for sale ONLY your own artwork, made by you. No children’s work or work by any other artist shall be displayed or for sale in your area.

Please provide for sale only those items that fit your juried medium as described in your application. All mediums should be clearly defined in your application and photos sent to represent them.

All artwork should be your original work (or products created from your original art, such as greeting cards, journals, etc.), and the items juried should be current and for sale. Do not add other items outside of that medium.

Each artist will pay by the $75 fee to cover signage and other advertising and marketing efforts for the show.

Professional standards for each artist.

Social media presence is evident. Much of our advertising is through liking, commenting on, and sharing other artists’ posted work.

Regular social media posts featuring different photographs of artwork will be expected during the months before the show.

Respond to all emails in a timely manner.

Proof your information ASAP and before marketing materials are printed and published online.

Means of selling work other than cash (Square, etc.) are present.

Attractive booth and presentation of art are foremost.
11. Prior to acceptance into the show, new studio applicants will be visited by two members of the steering committee. Guest artists will show their artwork and inventory. Studio artists will show art and inventory, studio accessibility, and parking.
12. Follow state guidelines for Covid protocol.
13. Since this show is an all-volunteer event, each participating artist is expected to:​
Attend planning meetings before the show. Be sure your email address is current.
Respond to all emails in a timely manner. Proof your information ASAP and
before marketing materials are printed and published online.Distribute printed materials locally for advertising.
Maintain your website in a quality manner.
Adequately maintain product inventory (in the juried medium).
Provide evidence of other sales of work (galleries, shops, shows, commissions).
Place yard signage before the show (and collect it after and return it).
Volunteer for other tasks as needed.​​

COST: There is no jury/application fee required with this application. If accepted, each artist returns to website to pay $75 to participate. A link to pay with a debit or credit card will be forwarded in the acceptance email.

PLEASE NOTE: Each accepted artist will be expected to assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of the event. This event is run by volunteer artists. You must volunteer to help with one or more tasks. Please see the Rules, Regulations, and Responsibilities above.
